Our Church is a place called HOME, with people we call FAMILY"
This Week's Bulletin
We have entered that glorious season of the year when we commemorate and celebrate the most important events of Christendom: the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Each year we celebrate His death on the cross and glorious resurrection with special sermons, musicals and dramatic reenactments.
Q: Where did the name Easter come from? A: An early Christian writer—Bede (between 673–735)—claimed that it came from the name Eastre, a Germanic goddess of spring, the time of year we observe Easter. The celebration of Christ’s resurrection apparently replaced the pagan festival.
