Last Sunday, we celebrated our Missions Convention. But the mission does not end with a Sunday service. It is a call to continued commitment to carry the Gospel into the world and make Christ known among the nations.

I want to draw your attention to imagine a city under siege. The enemy surrounds the walls. Inside, people wait anxiously, wondering how the battle outside is going. The soldiers have gone out to fight, but those within the city cannot see the outcome. All they can do is wait. And so the watchmen stand on the walls, looking toward the horizon. Then, in the distance, they see a man running. Who is he? What news does he bring?
